Youth Retreat 2012

Posted: May 5, 2011 in Uncategorized

The youth retreat is for four days and three nights camp for 12 – 18 years old boys and girls. This retreat will take place July 6th to 9th, at Fort Flagler.

COST: The cost for the retreat is $40 per person. This includes accommodation, eight meals, a t-shirt, transportation, and more. We have kept the cost minimal in order for everyone to be able to attend. We know the economy is making it hard for everyone financially, but with the support from our New Hope International Church has covered most of the cost so more youth can attend. If you would like to help sponsor someone, please let me know.

VENUE: The venue for the retreat is Fort Flagler at Hoskins Camp located approximately 60 miles northwest of Seattle. The camp grounds are owned and operated by the Washington State Park. Youth will stay in heated cabins with two levels: first level for boys and second for girls. Bathrooms are located on the same floor for each level.

PARENTS: Parents are welcome to join us only if you are willing to help with the running of the retreat. Cost of parents is the same, $20 per person. Parents have one option for accommodation staying in cabins with the youth which will be divided male (lower level) and female (upper level).

WHAT TO BRING: Bible, Sleeping bag & pillow, Warm clothing, Towel, Toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, soap, etc.), snacks, and outdoor sports equipment (basket ball, football). No cell phone, Ipods/MP3 players, radios, CD players, or videos games.

TRANSPORTATION: Friday afternoon traffic is heavy, so plan on leaving no later than 12:30 pm. We need to be at Fort Flagler by 2:30 p.m. (check in time) on Friday. We will need to take the Kingston Ferry across the Puget Sound so car pooling is encouraged. If you need rides to the retreat, please contact the one of the leaders by June 12th as well.

Judging others from the outside may not be the best.  God is always looking at your heart.  This lesson will teach you about what God is looking for in a person.  Speaker Pastor PJ Hancock.

What’s your worth?

Often time we walk around this world wondering if we are valuable?  Do we have purpose?  This lesson will helpfully help you see that you are important and valuable.  Speaker Pastor PJ Hancock.

What Can You do to Help Others?

Posted: January 28, 2011 in Events

Are you looking for a way to reach out to others?

Are you looking to plug yourself into a cause that you wouldn’t be able to achieve on your own?

Do you need community service hours at your school?

There is a way to get plugged in and to help others! Your chance is coming up on Feb. 11th 2011!  Operation Hope: Uganda fundraiser is coming up and you are invited to invite AS MANY PEOPLE AS YOU CAN to come and eat endless amounts of spaghetti and to donate money to a trusted, Christian and non-profit organization called Pilgrim.

You can read more about what the organization does to help people who aren’t in a position to help themselves, and how they are in need.  So, this is your chance to help those who you wouldn’t be able to reach out to, but a chance to help those who are already helping them.

Check it out here!

Do you suffer?

Hey guys, stuff might not always go the way we want them. How will you respond? As a Christian or as a human?

Listen for these 4 principles, we will be able to check and see if our lives are lining up with God’s calling on our lives.
